This was even better than the first book. Wishing I would have read the series earlier in the summer so I could binge the rest of the books. Rose is really growing on me.

In a day. Wow, I forgot how much I missed this series!!
Rose’s narrative is just so easy to read, seriously. It’s quick and snarky and feels like everything I would say and do in any given situation. She cares so much about her position and Lissa and I love love love her character!
I was dreading this one, because of that ending. Her reaction to (SPOILER)‘s death made me cry, as I remember being devastated when I read before. It doesn’t help that he was played as an amazing actor in the movie that I love and now that’s how I imagine him:(
Of course, loved this book. The first one is very teen drama, and the end of this book is where the entirety of that snaps. I remember it getting infinitely darker after this, ESPECIALLY with what happens to Dimitri next book. Yikes!

Hmmm... I'm conflicted. This is definitely a very addictive series as proven by the fact that I flew through this book in only a couple of hours, but the plot of this one was kind of slow up until about 75% through. I can definitely feel myself starting to grow more attached to the characters, however. We'll see how Shadow Kiss goes, but I have a feeling I'm going to fly through this entire series in only a matter of days... stay tuned, friends.
