didn’t like it at all. very repetitive, seemed like it was written only for the sake of the author telling people he wrote a book.

Interesting dissection of Bezos’ shareholder letters resulting in 14 principles that built Amazon. The authors also include some lesser known (or at least less remembered and discussed) stories of Amazon failures with analysis and opinion on why they were solid strategic experiments that led to future successes. Well researched, well written, and each principle ends with 1-3 questions that business owners and manager can easily apply to the own business.

The sections on understanding your flywheel, and the differences in decision types was especially applicable for me.

(Proxies = procedure manuals and set processes.)
