My only fault with this one was I felt that they declared their love too soon in the story. Not that they fell in love too fast, just that it was put out there too fast, without any of the push pull thing. But I really enjoyed the story except for the lack of romantic tension. Romeo was drool worthy, and Jules was a strong intelligent, take care of herself woman.

I do wish we were getting someone's story next besides Wyatt and Tabitha. If she screwed him over as much as she seems to have, it's going to be hard to make me like her. I'd really like to read about Chuito and Alaine, or about Nova getting out of the mob(maybe falling for a hot FBI agent?), or sweet, funny Tino. I wish these came out quicker!

Wow.

LOVED this book.

It had everything I love; sports, mafia, romance, funny as hell, and there wasn't a character that I didn't love or get invested in. I would say that I prefer this book over the first one but you have to read the first one to get to this one so hurry up and read the first one!

I wouldn't re-read this just because it's one of those books that once you read it the first time, the second time around might not be as good or magical but that doesn't mean I didn't love it. I did. A lot. I feel like Kele Moon's writing improved immensely from the first book to this one. Her descriptions got better, her scenes were more dynamic.

The only critic that I would have is that similar to the first book, I feel like Moon relies on sexual chemistry to portray the fact that each couple is 'meant to be' and I'm one of those people who would rather feel and see the chemistry through dialog and connections outside of sex
(because let's face it, everyone can have sex and feel a connection with someone so that's not that special), and Moon definitely relies on sex scenes to express how close each couple is.

That would be my only critic but as I said, I'm one of those people who would rather have no sex scenes at all with a ton of dialogue that expresses and tells the tale of how a couple falls for each other versus a dozen sex scenes that I kind of skim through.

Outside of that, great, great, great, great, great book and I'm on to the third one instantly.

MMA fighters, smart chicks, bad guys and hawt lovin? Uh, more please! This is the perfect follow up to Defying the Odds. Moon does an incredible job with the suspense, keeping the interest and the romance! I will read everything she writes!

This was one seriously smokin' hot book. I loved it and as I usually do when I've found book a book that I can't get enough, I gush about it on my blog. But this book is not just about hot sex. Like the first in this series, the book is well written and edited; not to mention there is an intriguing conflict which was always getting in the way of our Romeo and his Juliet. The author's ability to keep me reading (even when I should have been sleeping!) and also get me to freak the hell out when very bad things happened to our hero and heroine is to be applauded. I saw the event coming but I didn't think it would be like that, nor did I pick the betrayer to be the one I thought it was! Holy heck, I think I stopped breathing a few times! So my props to you, Ms. Moon, for a fantastic book and I can't wait to read about Wyatt and Tabitha next!

Loved Romeo. Loved the relationship between Romeo and his brothers. Loved the brothers and want to read their books. Liked Jules. Did not like Jules' twin brother Wyatt. Hated his over-reaction to some news he found out about Jules and how he took it out on Romeo. Hated how he kept a big, very personal secret from Jules. Also found his and Jules' relationship a little uncomfortable. I get that they're twins. I get that they're best friends. But some of their scenes where they're hanging out together are a little too close. Would've been 5 stars if there was less Wyatt.

This book was a lot like the first book in the series for me. Just ok. I found it lacking in the plot and would skim over parts just to finish it sooner. This book in the series is about a mafioso MMA fighter who never fights in the book. His name is Romeo and he falls in love with Juliet. Seriously, the author couldn't think of a better Italian name? I see what she was trying to do but come on! Romeo also has 2 brothers named...ready for this...Casanova or Nova & Valentino or Tino. REALLY! *add sarcastic eye roll here* And some of the italian slang she was using was out of context. (I know that bc I'm Sicilian & speak italian & know my italian slang) If you're going to write a Mafia/MMA book than make it good and gripping. There was some hot sex between Romeo & Juliet but (I can't believe I'm saying this) there could've been less bc I would skip over some of it. THere was a shower sex scene and they didn't use protection so, Juliet who's about 34 thought she could wash Romeo's cum out of her! Juliet, for such an accomplished, smart woman should know that YOU CAN'T WASH CUM OUT OF YOURSELF ONCE A GUY BLOWS HIS LOAD IN YOU!
I really wanted to love this book bc I have a thing for mafia boys and I love the MMA. I do have to say I do like the characters in this series. The men are hot and its nice to see some strong females that aren't dumb! I most likely will read the next book in the series only bc I like Wyatt and want to see what happens to him!
