The memory of a man can last for longer than his skeleton, but when the last of those who still remember us departs, we dissolve into time with him.

This was a lot slower than the first book, but I still had a great time listening to it and I do believe it was mostly due to the narrator. He's amazing. I was engaged with the story mostly because I was curious as to where everything was leading, but there wasn't much transition between the characters so it could get a little difficult at times. The existential crisis theme was great. Love things like that in my post-apocalyptic books.

Uffff I was rarely that relieved when I could press the „I finished the book“-button. This felt like it was going on forever and I had to force myself to keep listening. 90 % of sequel is pointless and boring and the other 10 % don’t make up for

life is too short to read books that don't spark a hyper focus

2.75/5
Err, I'm a bit disappointed. I wanted this book to be as exciting and interesting, but it wasn't. The ending was confusing and crumpled. I didn't really like Sasha. I maybe liked Leonid a little bit. Hunter was rather interesting, but too grumpy and also very, very confusing.

But! I must say that the pacing of the book was fast and the author's writing style is rather poetic and beautiful.

I don't know, I don't regret reading this book, but I didn't enjoy it that much. Meh. Don't even wanna say anything more about it.

As a casual book reader I have to say that I liked Metro 2034. I haven't read Metro 2033 but I have played both video games (Metro 2033 & Metro last light) which where based on the books.

Even If somebody didn't read the 1st book or played the games he will still get nearly everything of what is happening in Metro 2034.

The book is well written/translated and it describes the world very good. It really sets you in the mood and atmosphere of Post apocalyptic Moscow and its underground.

The characters are (for the most part) well written and balanced. One can understand the reasons and motives for their actions through the descriptions of their past and character.

All in all Metro is a good book. Not perfect, but a good one. I felt and cared for the characters, it kept me interested and excited.

Sorry for any bad usage of the English language. It's not my native language
