This book was very dark but super cool. I am a huge true crime/criminal minds fan so this was a win for me. John Douglas is the original FBI profiler. He created the unit and the action of profiling. This book is a memoir focused on his path to the FBI and how he went from rank and file FBI to an agent that detectives from all over the country contact for insight into their cases. From Ed Kemper to Ted Bundy, Douglas discusses motives, signatures, childhood traumas, and rehabilitation of the killers, rapists, and criminals that he interviewed at one point or another. My qualm about this is that there doesn't seem to be a finishing point. There is no wrapping up paragraph or heres how that happened chapter. It feels unfinished. The other minor thing is that the narrator is a tad too relaxing because I did fall asleep a few times and have to rewind!

This was a lot, I love true crime, and true crime podcasts, but some of the content of this book was too gruesome and made me want to hurl.
