Didn’t enjoy this book at all. Genuinely a nothing book. Everything felt forced in it, from the main love story to the mental health side. Everything felt skimmed over and nothing explained in detail. This whole book felt like the author was just trying to get back at an ex. Not cool.
It was a good depiction of insecurities taking over your life. It felt realistic. I liked that Blu ended up seeking help even if it took a couple tries and spiraling first. I kind of wanted to know how Jace’s story ended. I wanted him to be a dynamic character but he never changed. That is Reality for a lot of people though.
i think that before i read the book i had seen so much about it online that i was expecting too much. maybe if i hadn’t seen stuff about it i would of given it 5 stars.
wouldn’t say it was a nice romance book. it was a book with a disclaimer about two people that would go back to eachother countless amount of times and each time find a new way to hurt eachother. the ending was exactly how the ending had to be - the girl walking away from the boy and not letting him hurt her anymore.
interesting that the author wrote an alternative ending to the book where the two people actually ended up together ¿¿¿ kind of defeated the point of the book in my opinion
