I wanted to love this because it was my first queer romance novel and as a recently out queer woman (one who resembles Delilah all too well), I was tired of reading hetero romance novels but.. I needed more. Specifically more motivation to continue this book (unpopular opinion). I couldn’t shelf it for the previously stated reason, but it took me days too long to get through it.

Not sure why, but this book changed my life, that i went and met the author and got all 3 Bright Falls Series signed. Took the rock right outta my shoe! A cute fun read, that any one would enjoy!

When I started this one I worried I might not like it. I felt this way for approximately two chapters. Then I loved it. I was worried it was going to be about a black sheep in the family and she would spend most of the book not fitting in, which was not the case. After the bar scene I was hooked and didn’t look back. The characters in this are so great. I especially liked Iris who just had endless snark and didn’t discriminate. I loved the supportive friend group and the sizzling chemistry between Delilah and Claire.
I was so sad to leave these characters behind, so I will probably have to give the others in the trilogy a go. I recommend this to anyone who likes a sapphic romance!
