Like the other books in the series, the ideas aren’t the problem, it’s the just constant insistence that you just be a better person without really giving much practical advice. Apart from “take a walk and go to bed” there just isn’t much here I can go “oh cool I’ll try that this week.

A quick read, and one I’d refer to again.

Liked parts of it, but there didn't seem to be a connecting thread, or at least not one he ties back to

Great short chapters to read each day and reflect.

Short, concise chapters. Many examples given, though all either philosophers, politicians, or sport icons. Nothing felt new in this book, but maybe the idea is to disseminate the obvious philosophy as often as possible to reach the most people. Holiday even states this in the Preface..."nearly every other philosophy of the ancient world...came to the same conclusion." If these tenets were followed, it seems that the world would be a better place as each person would find stillness and peace.
