This is a cute little graphic novel about two lovely princesses that support themes of found family, being true to yourself and accepting of others! The artwork is gorgeous, and had great messages for young readers. It's pretty short, only 50 pages, but the amount of character development was pretty good for the length. Also, Amira's hair IS kick-butt!

The only thing I was confused about was that

one of the princesses is described in the dialogue, by herself and the villain, as being "fat", but visually her body type doesn't look any different than the other characters. So I was confused - is this character actually supposed to be fat and just wasn't drawn that way, or does she just believe she is fat from the villain's body-shaming? It's unclear. It would have been great if she were drawn as fat, and owned it!
