I first found out about this book when scrolling through Tic Toc. The first book is about Pip and her senior capstone project. She decided to reinvesitage an old murder that was never solved and comes very close to discovering the truth of what really happened. In reggards to the second novel, Pip is asked to investage another crime in which the person who was committed was innocent. As Good As Dead is the after match of Pip research and digging that Pip has done over the years.

I really enjoyed reading these books, they follow a very similar writting style and were very esay to understand. Another feature that I felt was very interesting and did grab my attention when I first flipped through the book was that there were interviews as well as, notes, and pictures (of evicdence) that were also encluded in the book. Jackson did a great job with having these flow with the story and not feel like something that did not belong. There were also audio file images at the top of some pages that indicated that a podcast was being upload. I think this was a clear idea that really helped the reader know what was the 'podcast' as the podcasts were discussed at points of the novels. In addition to this, all three of the books were connected to each other. I really liked how Jackson was able to connect all the books together in a way that I was not able to myself. In addition to this, Jackson was able to write a murder also while adding in modern element of podcast. This really was helpful as podcasts are now more popular and I enjoyed seeing that elemetn in a book.

In conclusion, I would recommend this book for one who enjoyes mystery thrillers. I would also recommend that you plan to read the other two books as they are all connected in the end.

Buch 1:

Buch 2:
I felt like this book took a little while to pick up the pace, but once it did, I couldn't put it away.
It was captivating and full of plot twists which kept me guessing.
Again the ending was so far from anything I could've guessed
The ending was very sad though, with the protestors showing up at the funeral, and leaving Pip traumatized and wanting for revenge.
The whole book was a lot darker than the first one.
I hope Pip finds her balance in the last book, so the seies can end on a hopeful  note.

Star rating based off of average book review:
Book 1: 4.2
Book 2: 5
Book 3: 2.8

I personally rounded down the last book to a 2 star instead of rounding up because I was so angry about the ending. I’ll be pretending that book doesn’t exist. If you’re thinking of purchasing the series I would just buy the first 2 books.
