I read this with my 5th graders and we talked about how the discrepancies between the text and the illustrations are purposefully done for comic effect. Then we talked about how we can also see those discrepancies during campaigns in real life, and how voters need to be smart information consumers.

I can’t remember just how many times I borrowed this book as a kid, but it was a lot.
