Je pensais que j'avais aimé le premier tome mais ce n'est rien à côté de ce deuxième tome haut en couleur !! Et j'en suis là première surprise mais le point fort de ce tome est le personnage de Diem qui est une vraie femme forte qui ne se laisse pas faire ni dicter sa conduite. J'ai beaucoup aimé les enjeux de ce deuxième tome et la découverte de Luther et des Corbois. Hâte de lire le troisième tome !

Diem's still The Worst but I feel like the plot and the overall character development trended upwards in this second book, so I enjoyed it slightly more than book 1. HOWEVER there were times when I was still flabbergasted at the levels of idiocy displayed by Diem. Like, get your head out of the sand? You don't live in an ideal world, work with what you have and be realistic. Anyway, I kind of hate that I'm going to read book 3 because I fear the worst but I kinda need to know what happens next

This book had me laughing, scared, angry (I’m looking at you Diem), sad, feeling every single emotion there is. I could not put this book down for the life of me and in the few hours I had to work in I could not stop thinking about Luther and how badly I want to strangle the FMC.

If you like high stakes, fast paced, amazing (but simple) world building, an excruciatingly SLOOOOW burn and characters you will be attached to from page 1..read this series now.

Do I wish that our FMC was smarter and didn’t doubt the most trustworthy person in the universe to linger with Henri the damp sock? Yes. But I still ate this book up and can’t wait to read the next one.
