Now I feel like I need to research the family trees of the creatures to see who was related.

best part of this book for sure was when the toddlers stole the cook's biggest knives and used them to cut the ropes the attacking vermin were using to climb up the walls, sending the vermin falling to be impaled by rocks or crush their friends with their bodies, killing them both, as the toddlers GIGGLED WITH GLEE.

Again, one of the better books in the series I've read so far. Curious what the other books will bring!

There is very much a pattern in Jacques books. Adventure, Quests, Feasts, Triumph, Battles. But I can't help love it all. I want to try and make some of the woodlandy food!

This was decent if not outstanding, I don't think the story of this one is on the same levels as most of the others.

Gabool totally losing his shit with the Bell, and becoming somewhat unhinged did make me laugh at times and the full cast audio, as always gives the story a star on its own
