This book starts off intense Aurora is going to a mountains retreat near Mt. Hood for the weekend. She bumps into two hot guys at a gas station, and they definitely set off her radar. She gets into a nasty wreck on the side of the mountain.

One of the guy saves her but also changes her. Which I didn’t expect. He also claims her as his mate. They call themselves werewolves but seem to be similar to wolf shifters. She finds out her savior is named Kai and an Alpha.

Her first shift is interesting, and she develops some interesting special abilities. She also finds her mate. She learns a lot of information about her past and her family’s history. Some of it is a little much. She also seems to have issues with past trauma that affect her a little and some panic attacks. Things get interesting as the saved become the hunted and the hunted become the hunters, of course, all for excellent reasons.

Kai is strong, protective, loving, and loyal he valued family and shows how he is with his pack. I love how the author introduced his heritage and history into the story. I also loved that he is old. It is kind of strange when he looks like he is 25 and really is much, much older.

The book gets exciting between a wedding, a rescue, and a conference. Honestly, a lot is going on. This book then adds even more complicated details to the mix and then ends unexpectedly.

Kai and Aurora are a match made in heaven. They are strong, protective, and loving to each other and their family. Many things are revealed about then and her in this book and a lot of complicated situations. But it was a fantastic read, I would say Ya, as there wasn’t any steamy content or over-described explicit scenes. This book contains witches, magic, fated mates, prophecy, and special abilities with a lot of action and suspense. I can’t wait to read book 2 in this series and see what happens. I believe that the author embraced different wolf shifter options in this book. She mixed it with magic and vampires, making this one heck of a supernatural story.

One day Aurora was just a human; or so she had always believed. The next she wakes up from a fatal car crash as a werewolf, but her new life will turn out to be so much more than what she first expected. Though, whoever expected to wake up a monster?

Aurora has a history of pain and prevail and her future will offer her no less. She quickly wakes to her new life, thrust straight into a world of fangs and furry. Events progress rapidly for Aurora as she climbs swiftly up the power structure and jumps right into her role as a dominant wolf, mate to the alpha, and most of all to her extremely coveted role as a Matefinder. But the ease ends there.

Enemies quickly make themselves known, and raging alpha males become the least of her rapidly manifesting problems. Allies come in the unlikeliest of places, though Aurora is wise to proceed with caution. None but her own pack are to be wholly trusted; Anyone else is a loose cannon.

I admired Aurora's strength of character and personality. She takes every piece of hardship thrown at her with dignity and bravery, never once wavering in her fortitude. She is an incredibly loyal person to her family and a fiercely protective wolf to her pack. She is, as Kai puts it, 'The ultimate package.'

Highly recommended to those who enjoy paranormal series, but be forewarned, this is the only book out so far. The second will be making its appearance shortly, though, so don't despair if you are just getting into it. Book two is on the way, and thank the Lord for that!!

It's actually one of the worst books I've ever read. Very fast spced (too much) and not a lot of character development or background. But, somehow I really craved a book like this and I still read it including the next one already. It's like an easy read and it kind of got me out of a reading slump.

So I don't regret reading it :)
I kinda loved the cheesiness

If you enjoyed the sookie stackhouse series of books ( think true blood) I highly recommend this new book which is destined to be a series. Matefinder features a strong female lead and many other interesting characters in the werewolf genre. Soon after there are other supernatural characters - witches and vampires. The story moves fast and the ending doesn't disappoint. Can't wait for book 2!
