i saw another review say this has a film noir vibe, and i couldn’t agree more. creepy, twisty, suspenseful. i wasn’t the biggest fan of the audiobook narrator, and the writing in some parts was a little clunky. but the plot and all the characters were stunning. i was so, so gripped by this, and am officially a riley sager fan.

3.5 stars 

The book was entertaining for the most part. It’s obvious that there’s something weird going on and you might be able to guess it, but the ride was fun regardless. 

It did get boring in parts and I found myself just speed reading through so I could get to the ending.

Decent enough book but a bit of a slow start for me. Took about 40% of it to really start the downward fall of the roller coaster you’re on. The main character is sweet and she’s empathetic, but not a great FMC by any means the books ends wrapped up nicely with a bow and everyone gets their karma.
