I really enjoyed this book. I am not usually a murder must gal but I love the addition of ghost grandma, alchemist lawyer and mystical kitty.

Fries and Alibis by Trixie Silvertale is outlandishly funny with a well-plotted mystery. I love it.

Will Mitzy clear her name and her father's name?

Mitzy Moon
Former orphan and barista, now bookshop owner and temporary sleuth. Mitzy's life is turned upside down once her grandmother dies and leaves Mitzy her bookstore and fortune in Pin Cherry Harbor. She also learns she has a bit of supernatural powers.

I think Mitzy Moon is fabulous. It's fun to follow along in her perspective and listen to her inner dialog. The pop culture references from Ms. Silvertale are fantastic and had me giggling to myself. Mitzy's snark, stubbornness, and moxie are all well cultivated. The way that she and her Gram are together is adorable.

The Mystery

Well, this is a multiple mystery story. We have the death of Cal Duncan, Mitzy's grandfather, and an old case of Mitzy's father, who was charged with murder back in the day. Mitzy is set up for the murder of her grandfather. Most of the town is saying it's like father, like daughter. However, Mitzy knows that she didn't do it, and she will prove she didn't kill her grandfather and her father didn't kill that man before.
However, the good-looking Sheriff in town can't figure out how to handle Mitzy, and she wants to get to know him better. Possible love connection? I think yes. However, if he keeps arresting her for murder, she may lose interest.

Five Stars
My rating for Fries and Alibis by Trixie Silvertale is five stars. I enjoyed the witty new sleuth and her newfound home. The people in Pin Cherry Harbor are nosey, loud, set in their ways and hilarious. I love the whole Tilly, Tally, Ledo name meaning setup. I can't wait to read the next one, which I am off to do now.

Yes, I highly recommend Fries and Alibis by Trixie Silvertale. To my personal Melvin Doo, this would be an excellent series for you.

Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of Fries and Alibis by Trixie Silvertale.

Until the next time,
~Jen

It was okay. I had a hard time liking Mitzy. She was kind of... ditzy? Or at least that's how she came across.
