This book was really slow for the first half and really good for the second half. This is the halfway point of the series so we'll see if we can move things along now!

I am a bit conflicted about this one, because on the one hand I really enjoyed it, and I thought that the battle scenes were well executed, and I liked most of the characters, but on the other hand, there was one character (and one pairing ) that I never cared about, and as such, I wasn't as emotionally impacted by certain scenes in this book as I was meant to be. That being said, I'm very excited to continue the series.

Took me longer than expected to read this book, but as I am writing this at 2am after blasting through the entire second half of the book in one sitting, it’s pretty obvious that the slowness was due to a reading slump rather than being a comment on the book’s quality.
Didn’t cry this time. Got really REALLY close, though. Teared up real bad. Yelled a few times.

Amazing book. 5/5. Look forward to the next. Definitely right up there with my favourite series.
