I struggled finishing the last book of this trilogy. Theres three parts to this book overall and the third part just seemed to drag which kind of sucked considering it’s the end and the wrap up of this trilogy.

As I remembered from my first reading many years ago this was by far the worst of the trilogy. It was still good but not great like the first two. The first half of the novel was easily a 5/5, but the second half was 3/5. Overall it’s a 4/5.
The second half gave me the feeling it was rushed but at the same time it dragged on and on. I know those are two things not usually used to describe the same novel but it was what I felt. I think this odd feeling came from the fact that the authors telegraphed the ending so early. I knew exactly how this was going to end early in the second half and that was exactly how it ended so it felt very anticlimactic. While this is not a bad thing it did make the story seem like it’s dragging. It was still an excellent novel that I’d recommend to any lover of fantasy.

At first I was kinda upset the artist had changed, but then I realized people were more discernable, so that was nice...
Everyone comes back together for the big finale. Ooh-aah. *grins*

Good interesting read of an amazing, terrifying yet fantastic world and colorful characters. My all time favorite will always be little Tasslehoff!
