Welcome back Eric Nylund! After the last book I was hesitant to get back into the series. But this has revamped my want to continue! Eric Nylund tells the Halo story so well. I enjoy his depth with every character, not just Master Chief, and how not everyone is just a killing machine like in the last novel.
This story throws you all around space. The battles are intense and easy to follow. I even found myself holding my breath at some points. The whole thing was very interesting.
Now into the next one!

Back to the good stuff - bridges the gap between Halo and Halo 2 very well, although some of the slipspace stuff always goes over my head and seems unnecessary.
