This book was really interesting because on the surface it's just another dystopian romance. I didn't expect it to have as much depth as it does, and that's surprising because I don't generally underestimate Tarryn Fisher. Gwen was somewhat of a surprise. She starts off pretty meek and unassuming, but there is a lioness hiding underneath. She is a genuine delight and such a strong force for fixing the wrong that their whole social structure perpetuates. 4 out of 5 stars.

Folsom is a riveting, engaging and thought provoking read. I quite enjoyed and can't wait to see what happens next.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, but I really enjoyed it. Can’t wait to see what happens next with Jackal. I really need to know that Gwen finds her way to Folsom.

description

Folsom was a very original story, however I expected more from the story. It started really strong, and I was intrigued by the characters. But towards the end I lost interest, and I especially didn't like the last quarter of the book. It was very unconventional story, which I love. But I couldn't warm up to Folsom and Gwen. Their relationship/love didn't feel genuine to me. The action/suspense at the end was not my cup of tea, and I expect the next books in the End of Men series to continue with this trend, so I'll probably not pick them up.

I don't think I've read anything like this before. It's not your classic dystopian. I could have read it in one sitting if I had the time to do so. I'm looking forward to reading the next book and finding out what happens to Gwen and Folsom.

This was interesting. I wasn't sure I was going to like it because of how futuristic it was, but I found it slightly empowering. I'm curious to see how this story goes.
