The (unnamed) ghost writer has been selected to write a memoir for Dorothy Gibson. Dorothy had just completed her election run for President of the United States. In an all too real scenario the election did not end in Dorothy’s favor.

I love this book a lot, it gave me cozy mystery vibes. Hot chocolate, warm blanket, and a crackling fire, sounds like the perfect evening. I can't wait for him to write more into this series. The fact that she left without going on a date with the security guy made me sad cause I really liked him. I loved the audiobook the narrator was amazing. I thought this book was going to be like most thriller/mystery books, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was a cozy mystery read. I hope her relationship with the bodyguard/ security guard goes somewhere throughout the books, because that would be so cute.

I can't wait for him to make more books in the series.

I enjoyed most things about this book: the premise, the characters, the banter. Just did not engage so well with the mystery. I will be trying the next in the series.

I was obsessed with the first third of this book-it seemed a lot like a Curtis Sittenfeld, so as it got into the more murder mystery part I didn’t find it quite as engaging. But that was more of a me thing with my expectations and usual genre. Once I realised, and readjusted my expectations it was a fun, enjoyable read, and I will probably read the second in the series once it is released.
