great read! i really enjoyed this and it definitely fit what i was looking for. super sweet alpha-for-hire. it did have a decent amount of what i consider angst, though with a comfort read like this i care about that more than other reads.

3.5 stars. This story is third person present tense. It’s been a very long time since I read a story in this format and I admit it took me a bit to get my head around it.
Once I did, I found a story with deeply engaging lead characters, both working through their historical personal issues and trying very hard NOT to have a relationship for both personal and contractual reasons.
I really enjoyed both characters and the story was well written.

This is a very enjoyable omegaverse romance. Characters are relatable and likable. Rory and Alice have fantastic dynamics and chemistry. This is an entertaining sweeter omegaverse romance with plenty of heat. This has great world building and is well written.

I'm ignoring the fact that this guy really thought even for a moment that he'd get to have a relationship and still sleep with other omegas well into his fifties when he'd have to retire. The momentary audacity. Anyway, this was sweet and cute with a softer (but still reserved) alpha and a sunshine omega. I like the way their relationship grew as they fell for each other. The letters were adorable.

idk why him doing sex work was framed as something antithetical to any "real" relationship and made the whole focal point of the third act conflict
for my first foray into the omegaverse i def didnt expect to hate the romance and be fine with the whole omegaverse thing idk i ended up skimming the sex scenes just bc i didnt care about them as a couple
