The more I read Maya Banks, the more I love her books! From the erotica/smut scenes she writes, to the plots that go along with it....I'm obsessed !

Sweet Surrender is a sweet light and HEA type of story. Not much of story or plot. No layers on the story. Characters pretty much 1 dimensional. A lot of insta lust/ love. And since this is Maya Banks, the sex must be prominent on the story.
But I found it very standard. I do not like it nor hate it. I just read it for passing time. I even found the sex is kind of boring and repetitive. Not much steam.

Just not my cup of tea. It read like a GOP wet dream. The trio of male coworkers were more interesting than the love interests.

I really enjoyed reading this and it definitely fit the spice factor I was looking for. I loved the found family vibe and I really liked Faith and Gray as the two main characters. I liked that we got introduced to everyone else who's going to have their own love story in the series. I'm excited to see this world continue. I liked the bit of mystery/murder chase going on here and it was a really smart way of Faith and Gray finding one another. I loved Pop and the boys and I'm thrilled that these books continue. I would have loved more of an epilogue moment for Faith and Gray but I'm hoping to see more of them in the rest of the series.

DNF I just can’t get into cops. I didn’t like any of the characters or plot or sex. Will try they next one in the series for shits and giggles as it seems more my speed.
