Sweet Surrender

Maya Banks

3.56 AVERAGE

Wow! First off, I love Maya Banks, there is not one book she has written that I have read that I haven't loved. First off, I love that Maya Bank's characters are real people, they cover the important safe sex issues everyone has to face including STDs and birth control. I love that.

Continuing with the characters I think the progressions the characters make from mutual like, to lust, to love is leisurely and more real that most erotica that I have ever read. On that topic, this book is erotica but the plot and the romance of the story is just as good as the sensuality. Something not easily found in erotica.

I really can't think of anything else to say. I love these books!

„i hope to hell you never go back. you weren’t supposed to like it.“

god was that boring, the only reason i didn’t dnf this was because i paid money for it and i didn't want to "waste" it, but holy shit was that torture.

it's been quite a while since i’ve read such a bad book. gray was such a red flag and not the guy you say oh my god, i still love him he was literally the worst, i hated him faith deserves so much better.

Eh, this one was sorta okay I guess. Characterization of the main H/h was weak. The heroine in particular was a complete wet noodle. (And an empty-headed fool. Apparently "sweet" means "oooh, she's a dumb one.") The plot was pretty nonsensical and the ending was rushed. But hey, the steamy scenes were good! That's the only thing that saves this book's rating. 2.5 stars but rounding down.

The sex was mid, sometimes boring.

Characters were boring, sometimes dumb

Plot was fine

This book made me tired

I haven't read this book in about 4 or so years, so decided to reread. It's an enjoyable story with a little suspense element and some hot moments, (although they are pretty tame compared to some of the later stories in this series) but certainly enjoyable and the characters are very likable too.
