I really wanted to love this book, but it just didn't hold my attention. The most interesting character, Merle Blatty (hehe), dies before the book really starts. Daniel, Nora, and what's-her-name were so one-dimensional that I just couldn't make myself care about them. (And btw, any couple with a 15-year-old kid who get pregnant again are idiots. Birth control exists!)

I think the author had some good ideas but this book was just bad. I hope he'll do better next time!

P.S. I got maybe halfway through the book. I kept HOPING it would get better, but it just dragged on.
