I really enjoyed the first half of this book and felt that it had great tension for someone who enjoys a horror novel. The author does a great job with description even though it was told from a rotating third person POV it was still easy to keep track of who's mind you were in. The second half got slightly predictable with an almost anticlimactic ending, I did feel like the characters overcame a large plot point too easily. This book certainly would've gotten a better score should the last 50 pages have been a bit more exciting. But overall a good read and I will be reading more by this author.

There is one specific scene with a description of abortion that I feel if you're especially sensitive to this you should avoid if possible. It is a quick interaction but could be upsetting to some. This happens at the end of Chapter 15 for reference.
