I freaking loved this book. I haven't been truly creeped out by a book in a long time. It's the kind that gets in your head and makes your mind play tricks on you. It's not very long and I think that made it creepy too. A lot of horror in a semi short book. Highly recommended if you're a horror fan.

The Exorcist’s House isn’t just a book. It became a full-blown horror movie playing in my head, packed with relentless pacing, eerie atmosphere, and imagery that lingers like the smell of sulphur, which I will never be okay with again… thank you very much Nick Roberts 😩
Once it picked up around the 30% mark, it never let up. I devoured 70% of it in one sitting, completely hooked. The writing moves between sharp wit and unsettling imagery, making every moment hit harder. The demonic chaos was top-tier, but the quieter, emotional moments between Daniel, Nora, and the family added unexpected depth.
And Luke. That one hurt.
The ending delivered, and I’m diving straight into the sequel asap. This is horror that grabs you by the throat, digs its claws in and doesn’t let go.

Prologue and opening couple of chapters had some spookiness in them. But the dialogue was cheesy and awkward and felt really “written”. Lots of odd phrasing and jokes that would never land. Characters doing stupid shit. Random dog shows up and you just have it living with you? Small details that don’t make sense- comments about timeline for events etc.
One of the strongest bits was the mini story about the contractor.
