The Exorcist's House

This novel is exactly what I’ve been wanting in a haunted house / possession story. The characters are all lovable, which makes what happens to them even more heartbreaking. The writing is excellent and the story gripped me the whole way through.

Bro Luke’s death was so graphic I had dreams about it. Also wtf happened to Buck, literally the star character and they don’t mention if he was able to stay with his new family after saving them???

enjoyable read with great pacing, characters etc. I look forward to reading more from Roberts

Hill family thinks they have hit the jackpot on their new house. New fresh start before their bundle of joy arrives. I mean what can go wrong when a door that is nailed shut is opened?!? This gave me a mix of Amityville Horror and the Haunting of Connecticut!! This book had me on the edge of my seat of oh no what is going to happen next. Nick Robert’s has a way of writing a story that turns in to a horror movie in your mind!

This book is not for the faint of heart. The imagery will leave you shook. Plot wise, things moved along steadily for the first 3/4 of the book, unfortunately the last 1/4 or so fell flat for me. We had all of this action, and then a weird lull, which led to a final showdown that just wasn’t very satisfying compared to all that had been built up. I was prepared to give this book four stars for most of the story, but the ending was just okay.

terrifying. absolutely terrifying. this genuinely had me wanting to sleep with the light on once i would put it down for the day. spencer dillehay was such a good choice to narrate the audio. the different voices he did had chills running down my spine.

You know, I find myself searching for that “psychological mind fuck” kinda book, and here it is. A true horror story in my opinion. I haven’t had anxiety from reading in a while—and this story packed a punch. Incredible writing. My imagination really sucked this story in and this is just the book that’s going to have me waking up with the sweats. My first read by Nick Roberts and certainly won’t be the last.
