The Exorcist’s House by Nick Roberts is an unsettling read. The Hill family has purchased a farm in West Virginia. Little do they know that something sinister lurks in the basement. Something that killed the previous owner and now has its eye on the new family moving in. I have seen this book hyped up online since it was released. It made me wary to read it. I am pleasantly surprised to find that it is worth the hype. This is a creepy book that kept me engrossed. I was on edge and jumping at shadows in some parts. This story isn’t ground-breaking or perfect, but it is a solid read. It definitely gives that suspenseful, fear-inducing fun that I seek out at this time of year. It’s not jumping to the top of my TBR, but I will certainly read the next book. 4/5 stars. Instagram book reviews @CandaceOnline
