Volume 2 of Blue Lock continues the fast paced excitement that we first glimpsed in volume 1. This volume benefits from further developing the characters while also getting to see them in action as Team Z takes on two different teams in the first tournament. Their ability to stay at Blue Lock hangs in the balance, which adds great tension, especially when things don't go in their favor initially.
I really appreciate how Muneyuki Kaneshiro weaves in character development and helps the reader better understand the characters through their unique play styles as well as how they interact as a team. I already feel like I have a good feel for a majority of the characters on Team Z despite it only being volume 2. I can't wait for what future volumes will hold.
