It's a good story in an interesting world filled with cardboard cutouts of people.

The women, specifically, are all jarringly similar, at least the male characters are 3 or 4 types of one note.

The Dwarves are badass and let you see a whole new side of what is going on in Epheria. I was so anxious to continue reading after the ending of "Of Blood and Fire," and I was not disappointed at all. Again, there is a big lull in the middle, and I never want to read another cave scene again.

There has to be a lot more to this story than we have seen so far and the scope of this second installment is significantly vaster than the first one! I wonder if I will be able to wait for the 3rd book patiently and I know the answer to obviously not.
How am I going to wait for the 4th and 5th afterwards?
Quite cool take on the classic fantasy and it is a very broad world building!
