This book was massive at over 800 pages and oh my goodness it didn’t stop the whole way through!
I love these character so much, the world and character building throughout the series has been amazing.
I don’t know how I am going to be able to wait for the next instalment!!!
If you loved Game of Thrones then this is a series you NEED to read. You won’t regret it!

This is another reread for me. After reading book 1, I simply had to read this one again. Seems I'm addicted to this series😅
Calen is in Belduar and gets stuck in the depths of the mountains. Ella finally arrives in Antiquar with Faenir while Rist is with the Circle of Magii and is being trained to wield his powers. Will they finally be united again?
A lot of new characters are introduced in this installment of the series and there's a mystery to be solved in the Dwarven Freehold.
I highly enjoyed the chapters with the Dwarves and the detective story going on there. Especially with Belina Louna joining Dahlen. She's such a fun character, even annoying at times, but I just love her for being the way she is and telling everyone what she's thinking. Also her pestering Dahlen had me laugh out loud a lot.
My favorite character is Ella by far and her story arc is really great to read. Her finally finding a little happiness after everything that's happend to her (I won't say more about this, otherwise I'll spoil too much of book 1).
I also loved seeing Tanner care so much about her...so wholesome to read.
I'm not a fan of Rist and as someone who sees everything from the outside, he annoys me even more for believing the lies he's being fed. On the other hand, I do understand why he believes the lies. If I were in his shoes, I would do too. It still annoys me though and I want to strangle him more often than not🙈
I finally bought The Broken Binding edition of The Exile and will now dive into this novella to see what happened to Dayne before he was introduced to the readers in Of Darkness and Light.

Maybe I’m just a sucker for fantasy books. I loved most of the plot lines and though changing perspectives was sometimes jarring because I was sucked into a particular pov, and sometimes some of the thing’s characters did or said were cheesy, I love the character dynamics, the world and the magic and I am excited to see what happens next.
