This was definitely an improvement on the first book. There are really good moments in the writing and I love the action, but there is SO much going on and so many povs it's hard to keep track of and kind of messes with the pacing. It also makes it hard to keep track of who is who and where and when. Some of the dialogue is still a little clichéd and goofy, and while the expansion of the lore and world building is a lot of fun, it's still quite tropey and derivative. Having said that, it's was a fun read because I love all of the tropes and the stories this book is drawing on and I also fucking love dragons. I'm interested to see where this goes and I can't lie I shed a tear for the reveal at the end.

Improvement from the first book for sure still was a decent and fun read though i found there to be too many povs and so many of them i couldn't connect with there stories which dragged it down for me
