This story was a lot harder to follow, for there was an introduction of a LOT of new characters...and keeping them straight in my head was a lot more difficult.

My favourites are still Calen and Valerys (obviously), but also Ella's storyline is fun, too...especially because of Fadra.

When these two characters are on the page, I'm fine...but when they aren't...I got a little confused as to who are the bad guys (though I knew who the main bad guys are), who are people being used by the bad guys, who are basically good guys...that are being indoctrinated to be bad guys (I'm thinking of Rist at the moment), and who are the good guys, that sometimes do bad things...and eventually turn bad, or not.

I like that there are multiple POVs, but I wish I could keep them in my head...instead of march to the next one (being confused).

Overall, I loved the story. I think I might step away...for a bit, then reread this book...to find myself more immersed in the story.

I definitely feel that this is a ME thing, and not a book/story/author thing. I love what he's doing, but in this book...(like I said), I got lost for a bit.

Still loved it, though.
