Raven is ready to seek revenge on her brothers who have stolen her rightful inheritance as Queen of the Pirates. But first, she needs a crew.

I would go so far as to say that Raven is better than the original Princeless series from which she came. I really am enjoying the pirate angle – and the all-girl pirate crew? Oh … this is going to be fun!

Great start to a great series! Feminism wrapped in an action adventure revenge pirate tale, and nearly every main character is some flavor of queer. What's not to like???

Recommended for: Anyone who has any taste whatsoever.

This has instantly become my new favourite graphic novel series! Holy wow this was freaking amazing!! The story, characters, and art are all amazing!

This is all about FEMALE POWER and it's glorious! It's women of all sorts lifting each other up and empowering each other. The comments about men are hilarious and oh so realistic.

The sapphic rep just makes this even more amazing.

Funny jokes. I feel like I should love this but there’s something about it that bothers me and I can’t quite figure out what it is. Well… part of it is choices in some of the drawings, particularly facial expressions. It’s more than that tho. Hmm.

I didn't realize this was a spinoff from an original Princeless series. I would definitely like to read it now, but it was easy enough to understand without the previous context.
This volume is about Raven getting back to her pirating roots in the pirate town, and finding a pirate crew to help her get back everything her pirate brothers stole from her. There is plenty of action and fisticuffs, a tiny bit of kissing, and a whole bucket of pig's blood. There's a little bit of plot and character motivation in it, too; enough to keep me interested about what's going to happen when Captain Raven and the All-Girl Pirate Crew actually leave the harbor on their quest!

I LOVED THIS SO MUCH.

What’s not to love about a story about a group of kickass women with brilliant humour, wonderful characters and a fantastic plot?! My only issue with it is that it’s far too short, I WANT MORE.

This was everything I didn’t know I need right now. I’m going to need the next issue asap. (R.I.P my bank account.)

That was epic and wicked! Absolutely loved all the references to various other comics, pop culture and things in society. Now I need to read all the other volumes!
