I read this novella for the Sci-fi & Fantasy book club that I'm in. This was decent, and I really like the premise of it. While I wouldn't call this scary, but the things that happen are horrific. The depictions of pregnancy and birth were not for me.

female rage, beautiful beautiful beautiful writing.... we love to see it. i will be thinking about this for a while and will probably return to write an actual review but for now i'm just gonna drop the 5 stars this little book deserves.

Beautiful writing. Dark story. Explanation of the mystery left a bit to be desired but overall a quick and compelling read.
