I usually like enemies to lovers but this was not it. Strap yourselves in. I got some shit to say
- Height is not a personality trait but it’s treated like one in this book. WE GET IT YOURE TINY LUCY!!
- And we get it he’s tall and muscular
- Lucy constantly objectifies Josh. She jumps from lust to love in 5 seconds. She rarely mentions anything other than his body and when they finally sleep together she’s in love and I’m just like… girl…. its been two days. She also says ”I want to OD on him.” Does that sound healthy? no
- Josh is constantly at the gym … like 3 times a day… why
- Lucy is just generally annoying and childish
- Lucy´s lipstick is described as ”slit-wrist red”… wtf
- When she rescues josh from his dads criticism she kinda develops a savior/god complex, why cant she just do anything from the goodness of her heart? She literally sits in the car afterwards talking about how much she loved saving someone rather than being saved, since that was usually the case for her (bc she’s so tiny and short)
- There were racist remarks about asians and others in this book.
- The book is also fat phobic - in narrative and in dialogue
- Ableism in language
- R-slur in the epilogue was unnecessary.
- The eye thing (iykyk) was sooo weird!! That’s not romantic, it’s just creepy! Restraining order right now
I saw someone compare this book to you deserve each other because they both have people pulling pranks on each other… dont disrespect you deserve each other like that. That one is a masterpiece, this one is the furthest thing from it

I've owned this book for so long! So glad I finally read it. Some parts reminded me of me and my boyfriend since we met at work, bashed each other on a daily basis, only to figure out we loved each other. Now let me see if I can get him to read our life story :)
It's been a while since a book I've read offered an overall emotions to feel throughout my whole time reading. I love this book. Hence, the 4/5 rating.
Both of the characters had both their strengths and weaknesses, which means I should suppose to get a good background story of them. And I did! Their failures, struggles, and problmes were discussed, even their childhood were. It all described all the person they are currently. And yes, the good character developments were perfect.
Their banter and the amusing conversations always make me smile. I don't know, it feels so natural! I just love this.
And I shall add additional some things here soon! I'm just enjoying the feeling of being happy right now.

Great story but ending was a little rushed and didn’t really fit with the pace of the rest of the book!
