Overall I enjoyed this story!
My biggest "complaints" are related to how Ben's character appeared to be formulated around Kylo/Adam Driver tropes and then shifted and grew to more. As he was more fleshed out I liked him more, but the stuff that felt like fan service to Kylo/Adam fans felt cringe to me personally. If that's your thing though you'll love it!

Reggie seemed to have her own character development imo and not be based off Rey which I liked (even though in the cover art she def is)! This is not hard though as to me in the movies Rey did not have as much internal struggle? (Don't come for me I've only seen each Star Wars movie once or twice! I like Rey!!! But!!!).

Love a good enemies to lovers and I found the world building to be well done!

books very rarely make me laugh out loud. this one did. it was so genuinely funny, and the dialogue between characters felt so realistic. the romance was both spicy and adorable, and i didn’t see the twist at the end coming, so it was a pleasant surprise! overall, this book was just a really fun read. i love magic, and the authors descriptions of everything made me feel like i was right there with the characters, seeing everything they were. it was so well-written, and was just honestly one of my favorite books so far this year.
