It was a fun read that was easy to get through. Has some graphic moments, but overall is sort of silly.

Overall I enjoyed this story!
My biggest "complaints" are related to how Ben's character appeared to be formulated around Kylo/Adam Driver tropes and then shifted and grew to more. As he was more fleshed out I liked him more, but the stuff that felt like fan service to Kylo/Adam fans felt cringe to me personally. If that's your thing though you'll love it!

Reggie seemed to have her own character development imo and not be based off Rey which I liked (even though in the cover art she def is)! This is not hard though as to me in the movies Rey did not have as much internal struggle? (Don't come for me I've only seen each Star Wars movie once or twice! I like Rey!!! But!!!).

Love a good enemies to lovers and I found the world building to be well done!

I’d give this 2⭐️

Usually I try to get at least half way through a book before giving up but god this book is just … uncomfortable. First of all the main character is really annoying and self righteous- even before she learns magic is real she should be able to roll with it when she knows that they think they’re witches but instead she’s like “omg a spell??!!” Like yeah girl keep up. Ok but let’s talk about the male characters and let’s start with Nick with best friend/roommate. I haven’t seen anyone mention this but it’s super messed up that he sends her nude photos that the guy he’s dating sent him. Beyond the fact that she seems uncomfortable with it it’s implied that the other guy doesn’t know and he’s just non consentially sharing those photos. If my friends were doing that Id be mad as hell. Now let’s talk about the supposed love interest who within a week of meeting her spies on her and makes a weird comment about thinking he caught her masturbating and then mentions in the most crass way possible that he masturbated while thinking of her freckles (after having spoken to her once) . Given that I actively dislike all the characters right now it’s hard to believe that this will turn into something I’m interested in reading. Also the writing is kind of clunky and awkward.

I waffled between 4 star and 5 star. I say this in the best way: this book is a guilty pleasure. Overtly a Reylo fanfic, with all our favorite sequel characters making cameo appearances. Just don’t take it too seriously.

Just a little *too* much sex for my personal preference. But otherwise entertaining. It did what it set out to do.
