The female lead’s obsession with organization was too much for me as someone who struggles with organization. Wasn’t a fan of the male lead either

This book was very mid. There wasn't really anything I hated but there wasn't anything I loved either. It was a quick easy read for me. There was a bit more spice than I was expecting, but I've definitely read books with more. It was a very 3.0⭐ with a predictable ending. I will not be continuing the series, unless I just need another easy read after heavier books.

Sometimes I guess I like to torture myself, I known this is going to be bad just by seeing cover but in reality it was much worse. You know when you have Ali Hazelwood's endorsement, that book is bad and it's about Adam Driver and Reylo because that's all she knows. Anyway just awful, I won't explain any further.

I enjoyed this enough to give it 4 stars, but I've definitely read better. The male lead was dark and broody while secretly being misunderstood, and that was well written and enjoyable. The female lead, I didn't like her much. I don't know if it's the stereotypical portrayal of OCD or how dense she is about the existence of magic even after they throw it in her face, but I just didn't enjoy her as our main character. However, the romance between Reggie and Ben was pretty well written, so for the sake of it being a romance book, it's easier to look past the rest of my complaints and just read it for what it is.
