This one started out so strong and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what would happened next. I’ll probably be in the minority here but the big twist was a let down for me. The anticipation leading up to the twist was better than the actual twist in my opinion.

On top of the lack luster of a twist, then the ending was basically buttoned up with a bow which I definitely rolled my eyes at.

Thriller

Okay I almost returned this to the library before reading it. A part of me was like.. better sample before you just return and I’m so glad I did. Apparently I really like thrillers involving influencers. Alex is an influencer and after a night of drinking she wakes up to a slew of hate messages and lost followers due to a controversial post. At the same time her assistant is missing. The story is told from her husbands point of view, her point of view, and the missing assistant. It was really good! I highly recommend.

Pretty entertaining and fun to read and was very interesting with all the switching POVs.

This was a classic whodunnit, but with a modern twist involving social media. I have to admit, I got a bit confused at the end. There was so much back and forth and name dropping that it was tough to keep track of who did what and lied about what things. It kinda ruined the ending because it ended up being less about the suspense and more about name dropping.
Overall, it felt like it was missing something.

Kind of a jumbled mess, with many plot holes. I mean first off AC's storyline had quite a few plot holes, but also things didn't make much sense in either Alex's or Patrick's storylines. I read it through because I was hoping with the resolution some of those storyline holes would have made sense but they didn't.

Hate to give a book a one that I actually finished, because I guess in all honesty a 1 should be a dnf, and I finished it. So, there was the lure of the mystery that kept me reading, and that gives it a 2

3.5 stars. It’s a quick and entertaining read. Fast paced, didn’t want to stop until I figured out what was going on. I started to figure it out along the way but overall very enjoyable
