Like the novel This is how you Lose the Time War, Sea of Tranquility doesn’t need to explain how time travel works, it just works. A beautiful novel of not Russian nesting dolls, but a fascinating garden path of a novel. Beautiful :)

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Emily St. John Mandel's Sea of Tranquility!
I'm not going to lie; the book was a bit slow for me in the beginning, and I really had to push through, but it was so worth it. I usually read books that I've heard good things about and don't really do much research on the plot or book itself, so I truly had no idea what was going to happen. So, I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be a futuristic book involving time travelers and the end of the world.
It was a fairly quick book that followed multiple POVs at various points in time. I got a sense that something terrible was going to happen and that tension had me listening to the audiobook and gripping my steering wheel. Although I enjoyed listening to the book, I think I will have to get a hold of a physical copy to truly appreciate the book.
