I've been a big fan of the Mothers of Xsan series, and The Frog Mother absolutely holds true to that. We get the chance to learn traditional knowledge and science about the Columbia Spotted Frog from a member of the Gitxsan Nation who shares a homeland with the frog in question. Informative and engaging, it's a great nature book for kids. Donovan's art is as fantastic as ever here.

I would definitely recommend it, along with the rest of the series. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
