OK, I’m on board with this ending to the Cormac story.

A hard series to describe. Definitely quite slow at the start, but picked up to a decent pace by the end.

It feels like the series took a step back with this entry.

Biggest villain is a cardboard villain again. All of Mika's plot was thin.

At least the resolution is semi-decent and it moves the plot towards the next books in the series.

A good ending to the series. Unless you've read the other books, this one won't be that enjoyable.

A good finale to the Ian Cormac series. A thoroughly fast-paced tale with the final showdown with rogue AI Erebus and its Jain-enhanced army. The puzzling entity that is Dragon is also pursuing its own agenda and Mr. Crane is finally pushed too far. In the middle of all of this is Ian Cormac, a "man" with new abilities...maybe, he's still not sure.

Recent Reads: Line War. Neal Asher wraps up his Agent Cormac space opera series with an all-out war. The rogue AI Erebus is returning attacking at random. Do they hide something more? Cormac and unlikely allies must unravel the secrets of a dead civilisation. Derring do, done.

Solid conclusion to a decent series. Not the best writing or ideas, but interesting nonetheless. Worth reading if you are in between inspirations.
