this book focused heavily on Fallons loss of her baby. While i enjoyed exploring the grief and how it effected her relationships moving forward it felt very dark. I like the book but it was not what i usually go for so i think that it why i rated lower.

Update :Had to give it an additional  .25 stars. Because I love Fallon and Maddox way more, then the first couple. Their relationship, the way they interact, the way they speak, their actions, everything  just make so much more sense. Even when they're being reckless, it still makes more sense. They really grew on me and I think about them more than I thought I would.

i did not enjoy this book like the others. i was already iffy with the whole ‘shes my stepsister’ thing, and the characters fell in love too quickly and resolved everything too fast it was unbelievable.

Lacking a star just because of the cover.

I loved Madoc from Bully. He was the perfect best friend to Jared. Excited that we have his story now. His step- sister is back from just disappearing last time and it looks like they both have unfinished business. Forbidden love and enemies … What could go wrong? I love that they intertwined Jared and Tates Story and we got more glimpses of the beloved Jax. it was good but I still love Jared and Tate the best.

Spicy: 2/5

Don’t this the step sibling troupe is for me… but the love story was good! Just hard for me to imagine the scenario most of the time. But I am glad Madoc got a happy ending too. Just wish it wasn’t with his (ex)step sister

still love this series but penelope’s writing has majorly improved from these books. madoc was a little much sometimes for a high schooler/college freshman, and some aspects seemed a little rushed but it was still a fun read. cant tell if i like fallon or tate more, but tate seems to hold her ground a little better than fallon. also i completely forgot abt lucas’s backstory, so this was nice to revisit.
