I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. I’m not usually drawn to low-stakes, cosy found-family stories, but this one was so well done it completely won me over. Charming, heartwarming, and surprisingly compelling.

The most ✨COZY✨ book I have ever read. Super slow in the beginning, the last 12-13 chapters do pick up! Jamie being a grumpy man who loves books really helped keep this book alive for ME personally!!!

We’ll round up because it made me audibly laugh a few times :) this was a delightfully, cozy, low stakes and slow paced read. 10/10 for diversity and inclusion. I wouldn’t recommend going into this for any romance. If that’s your expectation you’ll be disappointed. To me, this is more about finding a space place and people to call home. As someone who hasn’t lived by family for the majority of adulthood, found family storylines have a special place in my heart.

Charming and cozy found family magic story that reminded me a lot of Cerulean Sea, but done without as much spark. The setup is sweet and the message about belonging is heartwarming, but I didn’t quite connect with the characters or stakes as much as I hoped, and it felt a little too predictable.
