Gorgeous book of flash fiction, poetry and short stories. I adored the final story in the book and really hope Hannah expands it into a full novel. It was absorbing and full of beautiful imagery and I really felt like I was in the bayou. A couple of the stories didn’t quite feel complete to me, but I would absolutely read anything Kidder writes, a stunning set of flash fiction and I loved reading them.

Dark, grim, dramatic. I love this little connection and the messy, damaged characters within the book. It's not a light read, but I enjoyed sitting in the sun and getting lost for a few minutes in the moments and stories.

Beautiful and emotional. These stories are so beautiful and tender. I'm particularly in love with the changes in length between these short stories, some are pages, others are sentences and they all provide a unique perspective. There's not much else to say give this a read it's short so no risk and the upside of experiencing these stories is immeasurable.

Well, Hannah Lee Kidder sure doesn't waste any words.
Most stories in here aren't even stories but mere flashes of scenes and there is a clear theme of breakup all through this collection.
Most of them I just didn't really understand. I finished this on Tuesday and 2 days later, I don't remember a lot of the stories. It did leave some kind of impact on me, I guess, but I don't know. It just didn't get me excited.
My favourite story (it's just two sentences, but well), is Ignorance for sure.
