The setting is a totalitarian world that resembles the Wild West and the love story is between two gay men that blossoms in prison. Shy rebel Ashleigh Trine and Indigenous paid assassin Kieran Trevarde are drawn to each other right from the beginning, yet mutual love and trust take time to develop. Terrific character and relationship development, I was not able to put this book down.
