I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

I really enjoyed Vision of Shadows by this author, but Just Breathe just failed to keep my interest. I coulnd't make myself care about the characters or the story and there where these actions and interactions between characters that just felt off. It felt more like high school then college and I couldn't get a good idea of whom the characters are. There just wasn't enough to make me want to keep reading.

I've read this before so I knew the plotline this time around (obviously) but I remember when I first read if I didn't expect any of it. It was so gripping and dramatic, and very emotional! Highly recommend. Also take the trigger warning seriously it is quite intense!

When I saw that there was a trigger warning on this book....I didn't think much of it, I thought it'd be a small part of the story...I was wrong. I know this is probably a spoiler, but when it comes to trigger warnings, I'd rather not put it in a spoiler bracket and hope that someone who has dealt with something so tragic reads the spoiler before reading the book..

SpoilerThis book deals heavily with rape....not just an attempted rape at the beginning of the book, but about several actual rapes. Its a very intense, and disturbing read. It isn't for the fainthearted, it truly is...something else.

I enjoyed the book, for the most part, some parts were...maybe a little too descriptive for me to get past, but it was written beautifully, and I was very much sucked in. I loved the characters, they were all very diverse and I enjoyed their personalities a lot.

There are sad books, and there are depressing as hell books, and there are books that deal with things that are just too serious and real to want to read about...this is the latter. I cried my eyes out during a few things that happened. This is not at all a lighthearted read, and the T.W. needs to be taken seriously.
