A forest circular story that begins and ends with an acorn. Various woodland animals are pictured throughout the book.

2019 storytime theme: circular stories

What a lovely book, showing both in words and stunning illustrations, how connected everything in nature is.

I can see using this book to help young writers. It’s a great mentor book for writing a cause and effect story. Enjoyed it.

The simple text (i.e. "Because of an acorn...a tree") is complemented by lovely illustrations that take us through the food chain in a forest.

Simple book that explains connections within an ecosystem. I like the idea of reading this with my students when we talk about text structures, and having them write their own sequence story with this same writing style.
